We provide a range of meeting and training rooms at both of our Warrington and Halton Hospital sites.

Rooms available at Warrington

Warrington Education Centre

Located at the front of the hospital grounds on the ground floor of Thelwall House, the Education Centre offers several versatile teaching rooms to support learning and education. It also houses the Medical Education Team offices. Amenities include male, female and disabled toilet facilities.

Lecture Theatre

Accommodating 102 delegates with fixed seating, the Lecture Theatre features a touch-screen panel within a podium for full control of all equipment, including a PC connected to a large TV screen and lighting. Additional facilities include flipcharts and a remote control for PowerPoint presentations.

Warrington Committee Room

This formal boardroom-style meeting room accommodates up to 11 delegates. It includes a PC connected to a TV screen, a camera facing the presenter and a flip chart.

Warrington Seminar Room

Accommodating 20 delegates with movable seating in a theatre style, the Seminar Room features a PC connected to a TV screen, a camera facing the presenter and a flip chart.

Warrington Common Room

This room accommodates 24 delegates with movable seating and flip-down desktops. It includes a PC connected to a TV screen, a camera facing the presenter and a flip chart. 

Warrington Bentley Room

The Bentley Room accommodates 10 delegates with movable chairs and flip-down desktops. It includes a PC connected to a TV screen, a camera facing the presenter and a flip chart. 

Warrington Dining Room

The Dining Room offers seated dining capacity for up to 40 people, with 28 seats arranged in a theatre style on one side and 12 chairs around table on the other side. The room has a PC and two TV screens on both sides. The room has a camera on one side facing the presenter.

Warrington Undergraduate Tutorial Room

This room accommodates 14 delegates and is suitable for small lectures and practice-based learning groups. It features a ceiling-mounted projector connected to a PC, a projector screen and a flipchart. This room is specifically used for student doctors teaching.

Warrington Undergraduate Study Room

Designed to support medical student learning, the Study Room contains eight networked PCs, a flipchart, a whiteboard, a boardroom table for group work and individual study and a selection of academic texts.

Rooms available at Halton

Halton Education Centre is located near Entrance 2 of Halton Hospital, Nightingale Building, with ample parking and various meeting and training facilities.

The following equipment is available for use within the centre:

  • Computers are available in every room. Some rooms also have a projector available.
  • If you’re using a USB pen-drive to access your presentation please ensure this is compatible with our computers; safe sticks are required for our employees in accordance with Trust policy.  
  • Flipcharts and pens are available in all rooms.
  • AV accessories are available(e.g. pointers or remote control units), but please return to reception before leaving the centre.

Rooms available to hire

Lecture Theatre

The Lecture Theatre offers seating for up to a maximum of 60 delegates with presentation facilities including networked PC / ceiling mounted projector, flipchart and whiteboard. Different layouts are available on request.

Annexe Room

The Annexe Room offers seating for up to 25 delegates with presentation facilities including networked PC / ceiling mounted projector, flipchart and whiteboard.

Seminar Room

Accommodating up to 30 delegates, the Seminar Room features a networked PC / ceiling mounted projector, flipchart and whiteboard. 20 seats are available around a table.

Conference Room

The Conference Room offers seating for up to 25 delegates with presentation facilities including networked PC, projector and flipchart. 20 seats are available around a table. Accessed via the library.

Meeting Room

The Meeting Room can accommodate seating for up 12 delegates with presentation facilities, networked PC and flipchart. Eight seats are available around a table.

Tutors Room

Ideal for interviews and small meetings, the Tutors Room can accommodate up to five people around the table. There is an executive desk with networked PC.

ICT 1

ICT 1 has 12 networked PCs with one connected to a ceiling mounted projector and a whiteboard.

ICT 2

ICT 2 has 15 networked PCs with one connected to a ceiling mounted projector and a whiteboard.

Clinical Skills Room

The Clinical Skills room contains a hospital bed, hoist and other manual handling equipment to replicate a Ward environment. There is seating for up 12 delegates with presentation facilities including networked PC / ceiling mounted projector, TV, DVD and flipchart. Eight seats are available around a table.

Library

The Library offers five networked PCs, which can be used for hot desking and study space areas with tables and chairs for private study when the centre is open. This is available as a drop in for staff. It can also be used for hot buffets and a break out area, if space at the centre is limited and booked in advance. 

Refreshments and catering

When booking, we can advise you of the various menu options available. Please note we do not allow event organisers to bring their own food or drinks on site. 

Buffets are permitted in all rooms with the exception of the Lecture Theatre, but please note that with hot meals or large orders, a suitable dining area must be requested at the initial booking stage to ensure availability. 

We require two weeks notice for orders as we do not keep a large stock of food on site.

Tea, coffee and other hot drinks are available in the centre. Please ask at reception. All transactions are cash only.

How to book

Opening hours for room bookings are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm but bookings outside these hours may be made at the discretion of the Education Centre, as no IT / Reception support will be available.

To book a room please contact our Education Centre Assistant on 01928 753318 or via email whh.halton.educationcentre@nhs.net to enquire about availability. Warrington and Halton employees can book rooms at no cost. Outside WHH Trust employees / outside businesses are required to pay for rooms. There are discounts available for NHS / multiple bookings.  All email enquiries will receive a response within two working days.

When booking a room you will be asked to provide the following details:

  • Title of meeting
  • Purpose of meeting (e.g. training session / meeting etc.)
  • Number of attendees expected
  • Room layout required
  • Your name and contact details
  • Equipment requirements (e.g. projector / flipchart etc.)
  • Accessibility requirements (e.g. wheelchair access etc.)
  • Refreshments / catering requirements
  • Budget code (or details of where we should invoice if appropriate)
