Ward B3


General introduction

Ward B3 is a ready for discharge ward.

The ward cares for people who are considered medically optimised for discharge but may be waiting for community services such as care at home, nursing or residential home, or equipment.

We have a full team of nurses, healthcare assistants and doctors as well as occupational therapist and physiotherapists to meet the needs of our patients. 

Whilst on you are on Ward B3, we will continue discharge planning  and we are able to make changes to discharge plans where needed.

Ward B3 works closely with all discharge services in surrounding areas to make a smooth transition from hospital to discharge destination

How to access this service

Patients are referred to Ward B3 via nursing and medical staff, patient who come to B3 are then assessed to ensure we can meet your needs before accepting to the ward.
