Collection of prescriptions as an outpatient
When attending for an appointment or treatment as an outpatient you may be advised to collect a prescription from our hospital pharmacies.
Please note that our pharmacies do not sell any medicines and we cannot dispense external prescriptions issued by your GP or other healthcare organisations.
The opening times are as follows:
Warrington Hospital Pharmacy
- Monday to Friday - 9am to 6pm
- Weekends and bank holidays - 9am to 4pm

Halton Hospital, Nightingale Building Pharmacy
- Monday to Friday - 9am to 4.50pm
- Halton Hospital, Nightingale Pharmacy is not open at weekends and bank holidays

Whilst we try to process outpatient prescriptions as quickly as possible, please be prepared to wait for up to one hour for your prescription to be dispensed.
We apologise for any delays that may occur as we prioritise work for some of our most seriously ill inpatients.
If you would like to leave you prescription and collect it later in the day or the following day, please tell a member of staff when handing over the prescription.
